<projectDesc><p>This transcription was made by the Verbum Project as part of an online and printed edition of the Old Latin versions of John between 2003 and 2010.</p></projectDesc>
<editorialDecl><p>This transcription covers <locus>ff. 10-11</locus>. These contain John 19:13-17, 24-42. The rest of the manuscript is in various places; the bulk at St Gall Stiftsbibliothek 1394.The transcription includes foliation, lineation, all punctuation and abbreviations. Although the editors agree on the readings of the extant part of Folio 10, they differ in the restoration. Our edition has followed Bischoff's reconstruction, while supplying the differences between the editions as footnotes. It should also be noted that while White regularly finds the first 1-3 letters illegible on the left hand side of Folio 11, they are quite clear in the plates; it seems they were still folded over when White consulted the manuscript, but have subsequently been flattened. White was, however, better placed than the present editors to judge the relative antiquity of hands and correctors, and we also reproduce his transcription of the High German glosses as a footnote. The initial transcription file was a plain text file for use with COLLATE. Further information about the procedures followed may be found in the electronic edition at http://www.iohannes.com/vetuslatina/</p>
<p>The file was converted to XML according to the IGNTP guidelines for New Testament manuscripts, version 1.1 (a subset of the TEI P5). A link to these guidelines may be found on the 'Resources' page at www.igntp.org (and also on www.ubira.bham.ac.uk).</p></editorialDecl></encodingDesc>
